Patient And A Good Listener
We have known Natalie Bossi for 3 years.
My daughter (Lily) takes piano lessons with Natalie every week. Natalie has an impressive background
in music and shares her experience and love of music with her students.
She is very patient and a good listener. She has a way with correcting mistakes that is readily accepted
by the student. This is an admirable skill as I can see that her mentoring method and caring nature, has
encouraged my daughter to not only correct the mistake(s) but also improve her techniques.
She is very motivating and great at teaching the student how to dissect a troublesome music piece into
manageable segments to understand and play.
It is a pleasure to know Natalie and I assure that you will see these admirable qualities too.
High Standard Of Proficiency
Natalie has been a piano teacher (practical and theory) to my son, Max, for the last ten years. I have sat in on every weekly lesson and can attest to Natalie’s high level of professionalism, kindness, tolerance and honesty. As a parent and long-term observer, I have been most impressed with Natalie’s patience, (firm) kindness and nurturing manner. This environment has allowed my son (Max) to not only enjoy his lessons, but to achieve a high standard of proficiency.
High Degree Of Patience
I write as a former mature-aged piano student of Natalie Bossi. I commenced study of the piano a few years after my retirement from professional work and studied with her from late 2010 until early 2015. I regret ending my studies with her and did so only because of other demands made upon my time, not because of any dissatisfaction with the teaching I was receiving. I found Natalie to be a skilled teacher, well able to adapt her teaching style to my pace of learning and willing to accommodate my wishes with regard to repertoire and practice schedule. Over the time that I spent attending her studio at Strathfield, my experience was of a teacher who cared about her students as individuals, while still expecting serious effort towards technical competence. She relied upon encouragement and praise rather than criticism and rebuke, as her preferred means of motivation and displayed a high degree of patience in situations where she might have been forgiven the contrary. In short, I inferred that Natalie has a high level of interpersonal skills. She showed a willingness to listen carefully and to act with the best interests of her student in mind.
